Carolina Modiola - Modiola caroliniana 4 inch or bare r.

Low creeping, perennial herb. Palmetely 3 or 5 lobed and incised leaves. Small salmon colored to purplish red flowers in spring. Roots at the nodes and is a good plant to mix in a more natural lawn. Native from Virginia and Florida to Texas, and south to Argentina.
